Multifandom Horror Exchange
Hello! I’ve provided possible prompts for my requests, but there is no need to stick with them, especially if they feel restrictive. I’m honestly pretty easy to please as long as nothing hits my DNWs, and have never received an exchange fic I haven’t loved, so go wild!
Also, I am open to art for treats!

Praise kink, light biting, hair-pulling, being bossed around, light bondage (someone having their hands tied is lovely, long shibari descriptions is not so much), being held down, rough sex.
But this is when I admit that I’m also disappointingly vanilla! I really like tender vanilla sex. I also like non-penetrative sex acts a lot. Acts of service is my IRL love language, and I think I like non-penetrative, one-sided sex acts in my smut because it feels like a caring act of service!
Having said that, bittersweet sex, sex that makes you feel things you wish it wasn’t making you feel, sex that makes you feel like shit or dirty-bad-wrong after you’ve had it (including dub con) etc. is all up my alley too and plays with my heart (and id) in just the right way.
Also humour in sex is cool by me, as is some awkwardness.
Note: Some of my prompts allow for a much greater use of dub con and noncon. I especially love being drugged or otherwise emotionally manipulated, and made to want things you normally wouldn’t, although I’d love (but don’t require) some comfort to follow if so — even if that comfort is from the person drugging/doing the things. Being tied down and used like a sex toy and secretly enjoying it, or having your pain masturbated to is all good stuff. I also enjoy it when the person being dub- or nonconned is ashamed of their enjoyment.

Jude/Cardan
Body Horror, Dark Fantasy, Folk Horror, Gothic Horror, Institutional Horror, Killer Horror, Medical Horror, Monster Horror, Paranormal Horror, Psychological Horror, Religious Horror, Science-Fiction Horror
I cannot tell you how much I love this trilogy of books. Jude is just such a great character — she’s filled with angst, and yet is so determinedly active about it, rather than ever letting herself dwell. And Cardan is just a wonderful hot mess. And by the last book, they’re both done some undeniably terrible things, and it’s clear how much self-loathing they both harbour. But damn, that chemistry is sizzling.
I love them pre-relationship and post-canon in a strong relationship. I’d also be up for anything that sowed seeds of doubts between them, especially for Jude, since the relationship always feels so fragile for her.
I think there’s a lot of room for horror in this world. The fae are horrifying in many ways, and there are creatures besides that I’m sure we don’t know about. Their treatment of mortals is always unkind, and their treatment of each other…doesn’t seem to be much better?
Prompts:
- We know that humans being pregnant with half-faerie children is no big deal. But given Cardan’s transformation in the final book, reversed as it may be, is there a chance it’s affected the kind of child Jude has? That the curse has meant she’s pregnant with some monstrous snake? And what ancient medicines do the fae folk inflict on a pregnant Jude to try and right it?
- Valerian comes back to life — and he comes back wrong. It’s not like he was a good guy before she killed him, but now? I assume he will want to extract revenge in whatever sick and twisted way. I’d love for Jude to be able to beat him, though, perhaps with Cardan’s help this time, but maybe not before Valerian’s done lasting damage.
- Jude and Cardan’s honeymoon, they decide to go stay at one of the other court’s. But something isn’t right there. Perhaps the customs are dark and horrific, or maybe the court is haunted.
- A select group of mortals have discovered the fae folk and are kidnapping them, experimenting on them like they might on aliens. Perhaps it’s Cardan who is captured, or maybe Vivienne, but either way, someone needs to save them.
- People are dying in the court. Is it a strange new curse? Is there a killer on the loose? Or is there something darker even still that is causing these people to stay away?
- The King & Queen are tasked with ousting a nasty case of vampirism that has been spreading, but the source is unexpected, and it’s harder than they thought to rid their people of it. Especially given some of the fae folk have started to worship the immortal beings.
- Pre-relationship, Jude is captured by the bullies and drugged with faerie fruit. She’s kept as their prisoner, and used by them. I would love to see her using her particular brand of contrariness to come to enjoy what’s happening to her.

Edward Nygma
Body Horror, Gothic Horror, Institutional Horror, Killer Horror, Medical Horror, Monster Horror, Paranormal Horror, Psychological Horror, Religious Horror, Survival Horror
I have such a soft spot for Edward Nygma it’s unreal. I’m not sure when it started, but his whole shtick is so profoundly uncool that I can’t help but love him?
My favourite Edward Nygma era is when he had lost some of his memories and turned to the good side, but struggled to resist the lure of crime. Him desperately scrambling to keep a hold of his morals is just so juicy to me. But, I also do love crime happy Riddler, overtaken by his obsession with riddles or just delighting in causing trouble. As long as he hates himself a little bit, I’m happy. (Side note, this is why I’m really excited for Paul Dano’s interpretation, because I reckon he’ll bring a good level of weird-and-self-hating that jives with my headcanon.)
I’m open to shipfic. My usual ship for him is with Harley Quinn, but I’d be open to any other characters of any gender — heroes or villains. But I’m also super happy with bachelor Edward, scared, alone and struggling through the horror on his own.
Prompts:
- Arkham Asylum is a hotbed of dread and terror at the best of times. But the new head doctor, Dr. Jonathan Crane, and his highly experimental medicine has made it much, much worse… (I’m imagining this to include body/medical/institutional horror, but I could see sexual horror working for it. For sexual horror, I much prefer dub con, like sex being given as the “reward” for some other part of the torture, but as long as Edward enjoys it (whether he wants to or not), I'm good! I also love psychological horror, and choose Crane specifically because he’s into drugs. So drugs that make Edward want things he normally wouldn’t? Fantastic fun!)
- A parasite or lycanthropy or vampirism or similar is spreading through Gotham — and fast. All of the usual cast of heroes have been affected, and they’ve turned dark because of it. Can Edward escape it? Will he try to save anyone, and how does that go wrong? Or he is more interested in saving his own skin despite the guilt it causes?
- For the above prompt, I could also see it going the way of Edward trying to get help from a superhero, maybe Bruce or Tim or Dick, who hasn’t been infected/possessed/etc., but has given up hope, because Edward knows he can’t do it alone. Or he tries to convince a fellow villain to help him because there’s no point in being a criminal if everyone dies.
- Something dark has come to Gotham, and it’s trying to get its (metaphorical) claws into Edward. I’m imagining a lot of psychological distress and paranoia. How does he handle it? Can he resist its pull? I’d be cool with anything that plays with logic in such a way that causes Edward to lose grip on reality — I love a bit of mindfuckery.
- Someone starts leaving Edward riddles (solvable or unsolvable, up to you). Maybe they hint at something terrible. Maybe they’ve kidnapped and threaten someone Edward cares about. But the self-professed Master of Riddles is stumped at who they are from. Can he figure it out? What terrible ordeals must he go through to solve them or find the person responsible or save the person in danger?
- Edward throws his lot in with a fellow villain, but he didn’t expect how far his new friend was going to take things and now he’s not sure how to get out of it…
Jonathan Creek
Jonathan/Maddy
Dark Fantasy, Folk Horror, Gothic Horror, Killer Horror, Paranormal Horror, Psychological Horror, Religious Horror
I absolutely adore this show. I cannot get enough of these two! I love how much they wind each other up, how awful they can be to each other (but still somehow charming?) and how much they genuinely care for each other when the going gets tough. I also love what a well-oiled machine they are, with Maddy’s incredible social engineering (and impatience that leads to brute forcing) and Jonathan’s powers of deduction.
I also love a lot of the secondary characters on the show, and would be happy for them to make appearances! Adam Klaus is always terrible and wonderful in equal measure — is he perhaps back home in America now, and coincidentally not far from Maddie? Detective Gideon Pryke is such good fun. Joey Ross is my second favourite assistant, and I feel like she’d get on with Maddy, if only to gang up on Jonathan and cause trouble together!
I’m fine with most of the canon, but I’d like to fully ignore the fact Jonathan sells his windmill, if possible! I’m not a huge fan of Polly as his wife — I actually love her as a character, so would be fine with one-off girlfriend, or friend, but something about their relationship rubs me up the wrong way. However, it’s not a DNW, just a mild preference. She can also be ignored completely.
Prompts:
- Jonathan’s ghost begins to haunt Maddy, and gets her to investigate his murder. Except, he’s a total backseat investigator, and won’t leave off. Usual banter and bickering ensues. I could see this both being pure comedy-horror, or for it to get really dark, especially in places where Jonathan can’t save Maddy or warn her off something quickly enough due to being incorporeal. Perhaps it means Maddy has to go through some of the cases (and people related to them) Jonathan did without her.
- Jonathan receives an email from Maddy urging him to come visit her in America because she’s sure something is after her. When he arrives, Maddy is nowhere to be found. Perhaps the address leads him to a haunted mansion, or a strange small town, but either way, I’d love to see Jonathan try to figure something out and try to find Maddy.
- Maddy is convinced that one of their cases is caused by the supernatural, but Jonathan won’t believe that. But things aren’t adding up…and strange, disturbing things keep happening to them that hint that it may not be as it seems.
- Crossovers with any of my other request canons could be good fun! Or perhaps crossing over with any of the following: Carrie, Scream (the movie, not the TV show), Pretty Little Liars, Hex, The Haunting of Hill House (the book, not the TV show), The Mummy/The Mummy Returns, Stardew Valley (especially the monsters and such!) or Wilder Girls. It could include characters from these canons, or the plot could be wholly coopted — i.e. they could meet Rick, Evie & Jonathan while they’re on the run from the Mummy and try and help them, or Maddy could be the one who actually reads from the Book of the Dead and Rick/Evie/Jonathan are never involved. (Note: you can also use any of my favourite horror canons, found in my letter.)
- They think something is a routine case, but it turns out they’re being lured into a plot meant to extinguish them in some way. Maybe they’ll be used as a sacrifice, or perhaps they got to close to the truth on one of their previous cases and now someone intends to punish them for it. Perhaps a Murder on the Orient Express type scenario where everyone turns out to be against them.
Also, I am open to art for treats!
