I like a wide variety of art! Bold colours, black & white/greyscale, jewel tones, dark neons. I love interesting compositions and perspectives, and shots that feel like the characters were caught in the moment. I like most tones — fluffy and bright or dark and angsty or intimate and intense.

I like comics and gifs too! I have never received art before and have generally enjoyed every piece I’ve seen in an exchange setting, so I’m not sure I have any strong preferences. I definitely don’t have DNWs for art — sorry I can’t be more specific!

Smut Likes
Praise kink, light biting, hair-pulling, being bossed around, light bondage (someone having their hands tied is lovely, long shibari descriptions is not so much), being held down, rough sex.

I also really like tender vanilla sex. And I like non-penetrative sex acts a lot. Acts of service is my IRL love language, and I think I like non-penetrative, one-sided sex acts in my smut because it feels like a caring act of service! But I love all kinds of sex, really.

Bittersweet sex, sex that makes you feel things you wish it wasn’t making you feel, sex that makes you feel like shit or dirty-bad-wrong after you’ve had it (including dub con) etc. is all up my alley too and plays with my heart (and id) in just the right way.

The Unsleeping City: Kingston/Pete the Plug
The voice of the people and the embodiment of people’s dreams, name a more iconic duo. I love the scenes of domesticity we get snippets of between these two, and the fact Pete always jumps up to help whenever Kingston starts cooking. I also love the idea that Kingston would be very hesitant about getting involved with someone so much younger than himself (and who is sort of reliant on him).

Any side characters or background ships are welcome!

Anyway, some ideas: a meal we didn’t get to see between the Dream Team that Kingston & Pete make for them; one of them cooking a meal for the other after one of the canon battles where they get hurt; more Pete at the Brown holiday events; getting rip-roaring drunk together after the Broadway Brawl; Kingston taking Pete to one of the hall-in-the-wall places he loves for a meal or snack; them getting sick after going to a restaurant or cart that Kingston swears by.

Crown of Candy: Amethar & Rococoa & Lazuli & Citrina & Sapphria; Amethar & Calroy; Amethar/Caramelinda
So A Crown of Candy is probably playing this exchange in easy mode since everything is food but I also genuinely love Amethar and would love to see more fic with him, for any of these pairings, from any period of his life.

For Amethar & Calroy, I’d love to see the crap they ate while in the trenches, or actually getting used to the rich food of royalty again after the war. Or even either of their bachelor parties, because I’m pretty sure those were wild. I’d also be up for some world building, to find out if there are rations there, what the delicacies of Candia are (and how they differ from the rest of the world), the designations of food versus not food etc.

Amethar & his sisters are so tragic, and I’d love to see them spending time together in any capacity. Cooking or eating together, one (or all of them) babysitting Amethar when he was younger, them getting up to nonsense in the castle’s vegetable garden etc. Another area of exploration is maybe offerings he leaves them, or him getting drunk at their graves, or honouring them somehow through food. **EDITED after Episode 9/Safe Harbor — feel free to work in hints about Calroy’s eventual plot line if you’d like, but that’s not required!

For Amethar/Caramelinda, what was their wedding feast like? Or their first meal together, particularly the first one unchaperoned? Did Amethar try to woo Caramelinda by learning her favourite foods and getting the castle cooks to make it for her? Did they ever surprise each other with their tastes? **EDITED after Episode 9/Safe Harbor — anything that covers the fact that Caramelinda was originally promised to Lazuli would be brilliant. Them trying to heal together while mourning, finding ways to love each other when they aren’t each other’s first choices, having to put up a front etc. would be great. I think my other prompts can still stand in light of this information!

Fantasy High: Riz/Fabian
These two!! My absolute OTP, I adore them. How can anyone resist a hardcore repressed nerd and the dramatic, emotional jock? Especially post-Sophomore Year, where Fabian is centred and has found himself in his multiclassing.

I love them being soft and sensitive together and taking care of each other. I also love them being big dumb idiots (or small dumb idiots, I guess, in Riz’s case) where they are useless and don’t realise their feelings or are too scared to say. Feel free to set it any time canon or post-canon — that includes, way post-canon where they’re adults.

As with all my D20 requests, I love all the characters and would be happy to see them featured!

I love food as an act of love, especially when either are sick. I love them trying to cook together, and either being surprised by their success or absolutely failing at it. Or: they go to Heaven or Hell and try the food there; cooking for all the Intrepid Heroes; absolutely charring the crap out of the expensive food; Cathilda running out of kippers; showing their affection through cooking even if they’re bad it; trying Gilear’s homemade yoghurt; caring for each other through food poisoning because they ate something for a stupid reason; eating takeout with Sklonda; wedding meals (for them, for Fig/Ayda, for Gilear/Hillariel, for whoever!).

P.S. Open to trans head canons for either of these two, if that’s what floats your boat.

I had to nominate these two for this exchange, because they are, after all, soup snakes! I also just really adore them together. I’m gad they found kindred dork spirits, and mellowed each other out a lot. I’m so glad Michael got a happy ending, to be honest, and just how into each other they were by the time of their last appearance.

Let them eat soup! Could be how they discover they love the same soup, could be making soup for one another when they’re sick, could be Michael making it while Holly is pregnant because it’s the only thing she can keep down, could be accidentally buying the same soup at the store and now they have six cartons of it and oh god what do they do with all this soup now.

It doesn’t have to be just soup-based fic though — I’d also love anything with them eating lunch in the break room together, them making their first meal in Boulder together, preparing a meal for a holiday for their family. Anything like that is lovely, they are so cute together.

The Folk of the Air

I love these books so much, and I love these characters so much! I’d especially like anything that emphasises the difference between fae and humans through food or food-related culture. Feel free to set it during any point in canon or post-canon. And throw me whatever background characters or ships you like, there’s no character I wouldn’t want to spend time with in these books, whether to hate or be disgusted by or to genuinely like.

For some ideas: Give me humans eating fae food! Give me fae eating human food! Give me Cardan or Nicasia in a fast food joint! Jude trying new fae delicacies on a stately visit! Taryn having to be diplomatic at a meal where she’s pretty sure someone’s trying to poison her! Couples cooking together! A grand feast in the name of the King and Queen! Sex with food! Accidental aphrodisiacs or sex pollen! Purposely dosing oneself with fae fruit for sex!

The Half of It

This film…I was saving to watch it for a while, because it seemed so perfect for my tastes and I was so sure it would disappoint me, but it ended up exceeding them! It’s so quiet and lonely and yet warm and bold.

I’m open to any pairings for this canon because I adore every single character, really. They are all messy and complicated. Feel free to do what you please with background ships — if you wanna pair Trig off in the background, or give Ellie’s dad a love interest, feel free!

Some prompts: Paul visiting Ellie in college and them having to try and cook a meal in the dorm kitchen; visiting home and eating the food you love and remember; teaching each other recipes; first date meals; Squahamish’s finest eateries; a tough night in Aster’s waitressing gig; getting drunk at a graduation party; picnics near the hot spring; passing down family recipes.

Schitt’s Creek
Alexis/Ruth, Alexis/Twyla
I love Alexis so much. I expected always to relate to David much more, but as the series went on, I fell totally in love with her. I love how much growth we see from her. Even though I wasn’t super keen on her with Ted (he was so boring compared to her!), I still ended up crying like a child when they broke up. I love this show so much too, and everyone in it — feel free to include any characters or background ships, including non-canon (i.e give Stevie a partner)! My only DNW would be not to break David/Patrick up, please.

The thought of her trying to cook a meal for a date has me cackling, though. I would love to see her attempt that — does she pull it off just through pure luck and instinct? Or does it go horribly wrong? How does she deal with it?

Or, for other ideas, she surprised Twyla post-canon by turning up at the cafe. Or takes Ruth to the cafe while they’re visiting David. Or her first meal with Twyla or Ruth in New York! Or something else entirely!

Ruth, by the way, is the investor who takes on the Rosebud Motels in Season 6. She only appears for that single episode, but she’s a woman with ambition and drive, while also genuinely being a nice person, and I could see her being a good match for Alexis!

The Adventure Zone
Taako/Kravitz
The moment where Kravitz warms his face up before they kiss in one of the final episodes? Yeah, these two are so disgustingly cute I don’t even have words. Maybe you do? Or art! The Balance arc really took it out of me, and I’d interested in anything post-canon or during the canon if you can squeeze it in! I haven’t listened to any of the live shows, so including things from there is up to you.

I’d love to see Taako cooking for him in some capacity — has he learnt some special dishes just for Kravitz? Or maybe Kravitz attempting to wow Taako with some fancy meal (does he succeed? Up to you!). Or babysitting Angus— oh sorry, I mean having Angus staying with them, because he obviously doesn’t need babysitting! Or perhaps them going out on a date together. Or getting rude with food in the nude.

Or, also, getting drunk and dunking on Magnus and Merle together. That’s cool by my watch too.

Battlestar Galactica
Lee/Starbuck, Lee/Roslin
This is one of my favourite shows and I think it always will be. It’s got such rich characters to plumb! Ever since I read the show bible and discovered that, originally, Lee was going to be incredibly passionate about food, I’ve been so thankful they didn’t run with it. And yet I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Please show me Lee in the kitchen!

Show him trying to cobble together some kind of meal to impress Starbuck or Roslin with, or roping Starbuck into trying to find X ingredient on another ship because the Galactica doesn’t have it, or him making Roslin her favourite meal when her cancer is really bad, or Starbuck and he sharing a heated and tense last meal together on New Caprica before he returns to the Pegasus, or trying to convince Roslin to take a break and have food with him when she’s up late and stressed out working.

I’m most interested in early (S1-3) canon — or even pre-canon — because of it being more suited to the tone, but I’m open to anything!

Stardew Valley
Marnie/Marlon
Marnie can do so much better than Mayor Lewis. I mean…everyone can do better than Mayor Lewis, terrible Mayor that he is. So I’d love to see these cuties have some time together! I’m happy for it to stay unrequited, as it is in the game, or for them to actually get together. And despite my dislike of Lewis, having Marnie with him (and staying with him) is also fine for added angst!

I’m open to a broad approach to the food topic: perhaps Marlon, who just “happens” to be passing the farm one morning gets roped into helping on the farm (but no animal slaughter please). Or maybe they bump into each other at the Saloon and share some of Gus’ spicy eel.

Maybe they have a first date where Marlon or Marnie does the cooking. Or Marnie hears that Marlon got injured on his last adventure and goes to admonish him for being too old for ghoulies but also she brought him a home cooked meal to go with the lecture. Or Marlon makes a speciality dish with monster parts that Marnie is really not too sure about…

Gus & Linus, Gus/Linus
I love Gus and Linus so much, and the little early cutscene where Gus feeds him always warms my heart. Gus doesn’t get a lot of character development, so I’m totally game for whatever you can think up for his backstory, how he came to live in the Valley (or has he always been there?) and if there’s a reason he’s so passionate about food.

I would love more acts of kindness around food, or Linus showing Gus how to forage, or them trying to recreate a meal that Linus had many years ago, or Gus carefully placing food in the dumpster so Linus can retrieve it, or a quiet moment fishing together, or them interacting with other Stardew residents, or Linus convincing Gus to go camping with him, or Christmas or Easter, with Gus putting together a nice meal for Linus.

Bob’s Burgers
Linda/Bob
These two! One of my favourite onscreen couples, just ‘cause they genuinely love each other so much and actually love their family. So rare! They are both big dorks in their own ways and they put a lot of effort into making each other happy. Also the way Linda says “Baaaaawby” makes me smile every time. I’m open to anything, pre-, during or post-canon! Having the kids involved in the story is also fine with me.

Some ideas: them on a date; Bob cooking a meal for Linda for the first time; a significant day at the Burger joint; Bob making Linda’s favourite foods while she’s pregnant; their romantic date night being interrupted by the kids; Linda forcing Bob to some dinner theatre place or some quirky gimmick place that he absolutely hates; a pick-your-own; experimenting with food in the bedroom (whether it goes right or wrong is up to you)!

Of course, I’d also be totally up for a Thanksgiving fic, with the usual amount of shenanigans!
