Dear Writer,
I’ve included a bunch of prompts for these requests, but please note that I’m happy for you to ignore all of them, and to go off of one of the freeforms instead. These are just suggestions of directions and I'll happy to see different angles.
Also, some of these have more description and prompts than others, but that is absolutely no indication of my desire for them. I’m excited by all of these requests equally!

HARRY POTTER
Narcissa Black Malfoy & Andromeda Black Tonks
Petunia Evans Dursley & Lily Evans Potter
I love fraught sibling relationships. For both of these, I’m fascinated about the period when they realised they were growing apart — we see some of that in-canon for Lily, but very little for Narcissa & Andromeda. I also love moments where all the trauma and pain between siblings is put aside in favour of helping their sibling, or asking for help from them (with a lot of fear of rejection!), while the relationships remain strained and fragile.
Prompts:
- Narcissa visiting Andromeda when she’s pregnant with Draco, asking for help or advice. Or Draco is newly born and she needs someone to help her, so she turns to her older sister.
- Similarly, Petunia & Lily would have been pregnant around the same time. Did they help each other at some point?
- Bonding of shared grief, including parental units dying (and sibling, in the case of the Black women).
- Either sibling attended the wedding of the other. How does that go? Do they try to set it aside for the day?
Lucius Malfoy & Severus Snape
I love love love the friendship that is implied in the canon between these two! I am absolutely fascinated by the unhealthy but functional dynamics of their friendship, the way they have looked out for each other etc. I’m okay with this being an AU where Snape lives, but I’m equally interested in their friendship from any time they are canonically both alive!
Prompts:
- Snape is sorted in Slytherin, doesn’t know how to make friends. Lucius takes him under his wing.
- Times where Snape is in trouble, and Lucius bails him out in some way, either emotionally or physically
- Bonding after the First War, both trying to reconcile what they have done with who they say they are, and their (very different) attitudes towards how to navigate it all.
- An adult Snape thinks he’s alone in the world, and that no one will help him, and so is surprised when Lucius steps up to the plate.
- Anything surrounding a meeting with Voldemort.
- Snape teaching Lucius Occlumency.
STARDEW VALLEY
This game is so lovely, and has so many hints at a greater world — I’d love to see some of it explored! I like both the mundane and the magical parts of the world, too. For ease of prompting I’m gonna break down some of the platonic pairs and character requests, but feel free to combine any set of pairs or characters.
Solo: Krobus
Krobus & Player
Our little shadow boy! I’d love to get anything from him. The latest update isn’t on mobile yet, but I’m happy to receive things with him as the player’s roommate despite knowing little about it first-hand. If the player is involved, my preference is for a female player, but I’m not too fussy—female, male or nonbinary players are fine. I do like my players to have a distinct personality and name, though.
Prompts:
- Krobus during the wars. What was Krobus’ role during the dwarven wars? What did he think of the matter? Since he’s scared of assassins, maybe he played a big part, perhaps as a spy?
- Krobus encountering any of the other villagers in any capacity, whether watching from afar or not. I assume he has to leave the sewer at times — how does he remain undetected? Who is safe vs. unsafe?
- Since he has his shop setup, does that mean other monsters are buying from him? What is his relationship with the monster world at large? And how does that change when he moves in with the player?
- Krobus adapting to life in a house, outside of the sewer. How does he amuse himself? Does he ever go back to the Sewer? And what was move-out day like?
Elliot & Leah
Harvey & Elliot
Linus & Wizard
Marnie & Marlon
I love both Leah and Harvey very much, so I’m eager to see them interact with other characters. Linus is just the loveliest villager, and anything with him in it will make me happy! I also love the hinted-at long friendship between he and the wizard. With Marlon & Marnie, I’m envisioning this taking place after Marnie has rejected him and they find even-footing as friends rather than anything else.
Prompts:
- Teaching each other skills! Some ideas are: Leah teaching Elliot how to sculpt; Elliot teaching Harvey how to beachcomb; Wizard teaching Linus small magics; Linus teaching the Wizard to forage and nature-related skills; Marlon teaching Marnie to fight; Marnie teaching Marlon about animal care.
- Any of these pairs spending a day at the beach together, whiling away the hours.
- Any of these pairs taking a cooking class together.
- Any of them moving to the village and learning to fit into life there, helped by the other half of the pair.
Solo: Sandy
If we could marry Sandy, I would in a heartbeat! I’m fascinated by her. Any exploration of her backstory would be awesome.
Prompts:
- How did she come to live in the desert?
- Where does she live when she’s not in the shop?
- Has she ever been in the Skull Caverns? What happened?
DIMENSION 20
Sooo I have a lot of freeforms for these guys! I also have two different requests, but, again, for ease of prompting, I’m gonna be breaking down some of these pairs further here. But I’m basically happy for any pair (or combo of pairs!) and any freeform to be used. Also, if I had realised I could nominate groups I would have nommed “The Bad Kids” in general, so even unrequested characters are welcome to feature in these fics, especially for freeforms like Game Night!
Note: I’m currently catching up on this show, which is why it has some more freeforms (it's fresh on my mind!), but I am happy for fic to take place during any point in canon, including any episodes that come out after sign-ups close and even post-canon.
Solo: Cathilda
Bill Seacaster & Cathilda
I love Cathilda! was pretty sad to see her go back to Elmville in Season 2, though it made sense for the story. I want to see backstory.
Prompts:
- Tales of Cathilda the Black on the sevens seas! What was her greatest feat?
- When did she meet Bill? Why did she agree to come into his service? What convinced her?
- Everyone on Leviathan had heard of her and feared her — why? What did she do last time she was in town?
Figueroth Faeth & Fabian Aramais Seacaster
I love this pair! Not just because the characters play well together, but because I’m delighted by the friendship between Emily and Lou. The players both seem find each other hilarious, and that makes the characters’ relationship just that extra bit charming to me. I especially enjoyed Fig & Fabian going off to find Garthy after breaking Adaine out of prison, and both of them forget why the group needed them in the first place.
Prompts:
- They get left with an important piece of investigative work and both absolutely butcher it.
- Egging each other on with feats and disguises and dramatics in general.
- Bonding over being bards. After the whole incident with Wicklow in Leviathan, and Fabian giving up his class, was it Fig who encouraged him to become a bard?
Adaine Abernant & Riz Gukgak
I also adore these two useless nerds. As we saw from their investigation of the ritual room together in season 2, they are absolutely awful at charming people, but so damn good at doing all the investigating. I also really like the idea of Adaine as an asexual character.
They’re both the least physically intimidating of the Bad Kids, and yet the most aggressive. I love Adaine’s no-nonsense attitude, and Riz not taking no for an answer if he’s trying to find the truth.
Prompt:
- I picked the “Heart of the group unaware how much everyone else likes them; finds out” with Riz in mind; he starts Season 1 having never had friends, and I’d like to see how that affects his view on group dynamics, and the way Adaine helps him see that.
- Riz never sleeps, and Adaine finds him spiralling over some investigation in the middle of the night, and insists he rests/fixes him some food. Or, perhaps, she spirals with him.
- Is there ever any guilt over the fact that neither of them are on the frontline of battles?
- How do they help each other feel okay with being alive when they’ve just been resurrected?
Okay, onto the second request for D20!
Figueroth Faeth & Gilear Faeth
These two have such an interesting relationship, especially as it develops in Season 2. At first, I was kind of annoyed at how much Gilear there was (it was getting too silly!), but the moment that resold me on him was when, upon their visit to Hell and Gilear revealing he’d turned down Sandralynn, Fig saying she felt guilt for being a reminder of his greatest shame, and him realising he had to do better just to alleviate that.
By the way, I’d prefer Gilear to be presented as a real-ish character. I find some of his canon appearances to border on teeth-grittingly slapstick, and I want a Gilear that isn’t quite so pathetic. Pathetic, yes, but not so much that you wonder how he is even alive.
Prompts:
- Domestic scenes from before Fig’s infernal heritage had reared its head.
- Fig helping Gilear gain confidence post-divorce. Perhaps a make-over.
- How they deal with Fig’s admission of the guilt she’s felt, and Gilear’s promise to do better.
A NIGHT IN THE LONESOME OCTOBER
Jack & Snuff
This book was so good, and I loved getting to know Snuff. But I feel like I missed out on getting to know Jack a bit more and getting to dig properly into all the lore surrounding Jack and Snuff, as well as the fact that they are apparently time travellers. All these juicy bits of backstory are thrown around, and exploring any would be cool as heck.
Prompts:
- What was it like when Jack first brought Snuff in as his companion? There’s mention that Snuff’s a dark force, so did he have to be domesticated?
- What do Jack and he do on days when they aren’t trying to stop the apocalypse?
- We know Jack is based on Jack the Ripper — how closely are they linked? Has Snuff ever had to intervene when the knife takes over?
- The time they failed to close the door.
Graymalk & Snuff
Yay, cat and dog relationships! These two are an unlikely pair, but they were good together. I was terrified Graymalk would turn into a traitor and hurt Snuff, and was so relieved that their friendship remained solid throughout.
Prompts:
- Either Jack or Jill (or both!) are in grave danger, and they must team up to help them. Perhaps some issue that means that Snuff has to use a time loop to solve it.
- Graymalk and the Reverend have a run-in, Snuff intervenes.
- What happens when they meet the next time the door is opening? Is Jill (and therefore Graymalk) still a player? Is there a chance that Jack & Snuff could convince Jill & Graymalk to come over to the closer side?
HADESTOWN
Hermes & Persephone
There’s a world-weariness to both of these characters, and I always get the impression that he is the only one that truly understands Persephone. As the two closest to Hades, I imagine they’ve gotten pretty close over the years.
Prompts:
- In Chant I, Hermes says they always have this fight — has he had to intervene ever? How has he comforted Persephone after a fight?
- What was it like when Persephone first moved to Hadestown? Was Hermes kind to her, or did he play some tricks on her?
- Does Hermes spend much time up on top? Does Persephone ever have to force him too?
- These two getting drunk and talking about their past, talking about how things have changed, and how they’ve changed.
