Hey writer! I’ve provided possible prompts f, but there is no need to stick with them, especially if they feel restrictive. If you get ideas from my general likes, my description of why I like a ship, or see something in a previous letter (or freeforms I’ve used about these ships or characters in previous exchanges), feel free to go with that!

 

I’m pretty easy to please, honestly, as long as nothing hits my DNWs, and have never received an exchange fic I haven’t loved!

 

General Likes:

- 2^nd + 3^rd person POV

- Past & present tense are both fine

- Canon divergence is fine and good

- Background or mentioned past ships are mostly fine, except where noted

- Mutual pining (so much pining! There’s never enough!)

- Missing scenes from canon

- Bathing/washing — I also love people being dried with a towel by their partner

- Angst but also fluff, but also angst so much angst oh my gosh

- Exploration of how canon events affects characters and relationship power dynamics

- Characters being very aware of the power dynamics in general

- Fraught relationships

- Bed sharing

- Fake dating

- Being emotionally overloaded or overwhelmed in any capacity

- Height differences

- Kissing, all the soft kissing

- Sensitive portrayals of complicated characters

- Being fed

- Long tender looks & catching people looking at you tenderly, just romantic goggling in general I guess

- Touch-starved and stoic characters breaking down

- Bittersweet endings (but also any kind of ending is fine by me!)

Kinky Likes: Praise kink, light biting, hair-pulling, being bossed around, light bondage (someone having their hands tied is lovely, long shibari descriptions is not so much), being held down, rough sex.

 

But this is when I admit that I’m also disappointingly vanilla! I really like tender vanilla sex. I also like non-penetrative sex acts a lot. Acts of service is my IRL love language, and I think I like non-penetrative, one-sided sex acts in my smut because it feels like a caring act of service!

 

Having said that, bittersweet sex, sex that makes you feel things you wish it wasn’t making you feel, sex that makes you feel like shit or dirty-bad-wrong after you’ve had it (even bordering on dub con) etc. is all up my alley too and plays with my heart (and id) in just the right way.

 

Also humour in sex is cool by me, as is some awkwardness.

Dimension 20 - Fantasy High / The Unsleeping City

# Riz/Fabian

Dramatic now-in-touch-with-his-feelings Fabian and completely emotionally repressed and struggling Riz is just such a good dynamic. Season 2 in particular builds into this very “idiots in love” kind of thing that I can’t resist. Be heavy-handed on that ol’ UST and I’ll be happy. For these two, I do prefer getting together fic, but honestly that might be because I haven’t read much with them as an established relationship, so I’m sure I can be convinced!

 

As my no underage DNW implies, I’d want any sex to ideally take place post-canon, with them aged up. And I’m happy for either of these two to be trans if you have a trans head canon for them, but equally happy for them to be cis!

 

Episode 16 and 19 hinted at Riz being on the ace scale. My head canon has adjusted to him being demi, but I’m happy for any interpretations, including him being a late bloomer or repressing his very-gay feelings. I’d rather him not be aro, though.

 

As of writing these prompts, I have not finished the finale episodes, but I will have done by the time assignments go out, so anything post-finale is fine by me even if I haven’t provided specific prompts for them.

 

Pairing Specific DNWs: No smut if they’re under 18 in the fic; death of Sklonda

 

Possible Prompts:

- The rest of the Bad Kids have been kidnapped or in some way messed with, and it’s up for disaster artists Riz and Fabian to save them!

- Them sharing a room in adventuring college, still not having dealt with their feelings. Or! They go to college separately, and meet back up while in town. Perhaps something happens that calls for them to investigate?

- Now that Fabian has found himself, how does he try to encourage Riz to do the same? What kind of things does Fabian do with him when forcing him to have a day off?

 

# Kingston Brown

There’s something I find so sad about Kingston — despite being the literal man of the people, he is so profoundly lonely because of that. He will always put the city first, and that includes before himself — something hinted at but not explored by the show as much as I might have liked.

 

I’m open to any ships for him, including Pete/Kingston, Kugrash/Kingston, Misty/Kingston or him trying to make it work with Liv. Heck, even Willy/Kingston is cool by me. Or he can be single and extremely sad, because that will pull at my heartstrings so well too. You can also set it during any period of his life!

 

Possible prompts:

- We know a dragon turned him into the vox populi; what happened there? What did he do that caused that to happen?

- We only see the aftermath of Kingston having introduced Liv to the Unsleeping City. How did she do it the first time? Was there any period where she was happy about it before it all came crumbling down?

- We get some juicy hints of the domesticity between he and Pete during the canon, and I’d love to see that explored. Especially, Kingston battling feelings for someone so much younger (and literally the opposite of him) than himself, who is vulnerable — so the bad pining that creates, would be great.

- Who is the strangest person he’s provided medical care to? What kind of plot did they pull him into?

 

# Misty Moore | Rowan Berry

Misty was such a surprise to me! I didn’t expect to love her nearly as much as I did. Mainly, my request here is the same as Kingston’s — exploring her character more! This includes going back to fae and her time as a subject of Titania. Any of her past lives are cool by me, and perhaps moments from canon we didn’t get to see.

 

Similar to Kingston, I welcome any ships for her, including Kingston/Misty, Sophie/Misty, Misty/Puck and Misty/Titania.

 

Possible prompts:

- I’d love to hear about her exile or her life in faerie and how she got a hold of Titania’s shoes in the first place.

- What was Misty Moore like as a younger woman? How long did it take for her to get comfortable and reach the spotlight as Misty?

- What has been her favourite life, and who does she miss the most from it? Conversely, what has she been most glad to leave behind?

- I could see the 5+1 format working really well for her, in a way that encompasses many lives.

 

Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling

# Charlie/Hermione

These two are so soft and lovely. Charlie has spent his whole life caring for things, and Hermione needs to be taken care of sometimes. They break my heart, and I love that.

 

I like the fact that Charlie feels a lot of guilt for being interested in his brother’s ex-girlfriend, and so is extra cautious and is 100% certain that his feelings are unrequited (and he’s 100% wrong). And even when they know it’s requited, they’re too scared to act because of their circumstances. But I like almost all stripes of this pairing, honestly, as long as there’s plenty of pining.

 

Pairing Specific DNWs: Ron bashing (I prefer him to either be ignored, or for the breakup to have been amicable); any Weasley bashing in general; background Harry/Draco or Harry/Snape

 

Possible prompts:

- Charlie taking care of Hermione in some hurt/comfort-y kind of way and they fall in love, but don’t know if they should act on it (or if the other feels the same way).

- In a moment of madness after built up UST, they sleep together, and have to deal with the guilty fallout.

- Does anyone in the Weasley clan identify that they’re in love with each other? What do they do about it?

- Has Hermione ever gone to visit him out in the dragon reserve? How is she with dragon handling?

- A mystery turns up that requires magical creature expertise, so she ropes Charlie into an investigation where they grow closer.

 

# Neville/Draco

I really love Gryffindor/Slytherin pairings, and these two are kind of a brand new ship for me!

 

I love post-canon for these two especially. We see an extraordinary amount of character development for Neville in the last couple of books, and we leave Draco just as his development is beginning. I’d like to see how they interact as adults, and how their past together affects their ability to get closer — especially when they realise they’re attracted to one another.

 

I’m happy to receive either getting together or established relationship for these two because I think there’s a lot of interesting angles they could be written from.

 

Pairing Specific DNWs: Weasley bashing; background or mentioned Harry/Draco or Harry/Snape

 

Possible Prompts:

- Draco now works as an auror, and comes to Neville for botany help for his latest case. They get sucked into working with each other. How does that go?

- Both are broken men from the war, just in different ways. How do they find each other? How do they help each other mend?

- Captivity trope, or there’s only one bed trope! Or both! Could be fluffy and funny or angsty or sexy or any combo.

- Draco has been turned into a vampire, and Neville, somehow, becomes the only one who can help him.

- I’m open to A/B/O with these two, with a strong preference for Neville as the alpha, Draco as the omega (but that’s just what I’ve read so far, and I’m sure I can be sold on the other way around!).

 

DC Comics

# Harley/Riddler

Gotham City Sirens was a series that came out in 2009, where Harley, Ivy & Catwoman become roommates, and during the series, there was a single kiss that launched my ship! Edward was also trying to stay on the right side of the law during this period, though it was becoming harder and harder.

 

But I’m happy for any fic around this ship to happen mostly anywhere in the canon, not just during a not-very-popular run!

 

My main head canon is that while Harley has great affection for Edward, and maybe even attraction, I don’t know that she requites his feelings to the same degree, and I love the angst this creates. I also don’t think Edward would ever believe himself worthy of her anyway, he’s such an self-hating character in my favourite runs.

 

Having said all that, I would also be super cool with seeing a different take on their relationship altogether, like maybe the feelings are mutual, but Edward is waaaay too self-sabotaging and deep in his own self-pity to realise it. Or it could just be sweetness and fluff for these poor characters who need a break!

 

Pairing Specific DNW: On-screen domestic abuse within a relationship or noncon (implied or mentions are fine though)

 

Possible Prompts:

- Harley turns to Edward for comfort on something, and Edward has to learn how to provide that comfort.

- Either a villain or something dark and mysterious is threatening the safety of Gotham City, and for some godforsaken reason (can be handwave-y as you like) these two are the only ones who can stop it.

- One of them saving the other from some villain, and the rescued one feels like they’re now in debt to them. How do they feel about that?

- Harley tries to ease Edward’s loneliness — by trying to set him up on a date…

 

Great Expectations - Charles Dickens

# Molly, Molly/Mr. Jaggers, Molly & Mr. Jaggers

This is one of my oldest ships, although as my character tags indicate, I don't need this to actually be ship fic -- I've provided prompts for gen too! But we discover near the back half of the book that Mr. Jaggers took in Estella’s mother, Molly, and she’s lived with him all this time.

 

While I could see this being straight hurt/comfort (and would love that!), there’s also definite cruelty in their relationship, and problems with their power dynamics. Exploring that would be cool, and I’m open to any takes on it — is it performative and to keep up appearances, so no one will suspect the truth between them? Or is his abuse something Molly swallows because she has no other choice and perhaps feels she has no escape from? Does she ever fight back? She’s suspected a murderer and threatened to kill Estella when she was young, so is it toxic from her side too? Is Jaggers protective of Molly, despite his cruelty?

 

We get so very little from her character, except through secondhand stories, that I’d love to see her fleshed out in any way you can imagine, really!

 

Possible Prompts:

- Molly first being taken in by Mr. Jaggers and being saved from the Gallows. What was their dynamic like? How did they find a rhythm with each other, especially with Molly having her child taken away?

- Molly pre-Jaggers. What was her life like? What were her dreams? What was it like when she met Magwitch? Who was the woman she was accused of murdering?

- How does Mr. Jaggers deal with a client who gets too handsy with Molly, especially when he really needs the money?

- Post-canon, does she ever find out about Estella? Are they ever able to build a relationship? Or, perhaps she meets Estella not knowing she’s her daughter — do they get along?

 

Hamilton

# Hamilton/Burr, Burr

Burr is the disaster artist of my heart. I relate so much to him as a character in general — I have definitely caught myself thinking along his lines. And he and Hamilton are one of my all time OTPs! I love their dynamic and I love how much Burr hates to love him.

Please note (and so sorry for not including this in my sign-up, completely brainfarted) that my infidelity DNW does not stand for these two, infidelity is fine (as is just completely ignoring their wives, that's fine also).

 

For solo Burr, I’d adore anything that explores him post-canon. For Hamilton/Burr, I’m happy to see most interpretations, but my favourite is, as outlined above, that hate-to-love dynamic or one where Burr is extremely reluctant. Also, for romantic Hamburr, I have a mild preference for bottom!Burr.

 

Possible Prompts:

- Post-canon Burr: him dealing with the grief and guilt of killing his friend, how the rest of Hamilton’s friends now treat him. Is he ostracised? When he loses his daughter and wife too, who does he have left  to turn to?

- Post-canon Burr: If you’re a history buff, it’d be cool to see something that deals with his whole treason thing… What were his motivations there? Did he never manage to let go of his rivalry with Hamilton, even after his death? (Note: I’m not a huge history buff, so please don’t worry about inaccuracies, I won’t notice them!)

- Hamilton/Burr: What was a time Burr finally gave into his baser desires and stopped trying to hide himself, and how did it change things?

- Hamilton/Burr: How did their romance sour to the point in which Burr would be responsible for killing him?

- Hamilton/Burr: Not so much a prompt, but a premise: for these two, I actually love soulmate AUs (especially ones related to words, given how much words mean to both of them), and would actually be cool with seeing a bunch of different AUs for them in general — vampire/vampire hunter, werewolves, Shakespearean actors etc. I’m not so keen on mundane modern AUs for them, but you know, I could probably be sold on it!

- Hamilton/Burr: finally, I kind of dig ghost!Hamilton who haunts Burr after his death. Could be cruelly, could be kindly, could be a healthy dosage of both.
